My wife and I are always looking for something different and this was a home run. We discovered them by trying their food truck at the CF farmers market and decided to give the restaurant a shot. First of all, the service was fantastic and the owner even took time to come and personally thank us for stopping in. The burgers are different than any burger that I have had, but they are delicious.

Great take on some traditional sandwiches, and not just US cuisine. They also offer up some terrific authentic and rare drinks and deserts, are super friendly, and helpful. should be on your short list of a place to try something new.

This eating establishment is a phenomenal addition to the Hill and Cedar Falls scene. They have the best burgers in town due to their creativity, commitment to buying local quality ingredients/products and trying new things. The beverage selection tops off the culinary experience. The owner is hugely supportive of the community and goes above and beyond to ensure his guests leave happy. You won't be disappointed. Place your order at the front and staff will bring the food to you with a smile. This establishment has all the "ingredients" to become a local institution.

A bit pricy for just a burger, but definitely the best burgers I've tried in town. Place is nice inside, just a little hard to catch. The menu is pretty diverse, you really have to take a gamble on what you get if you have particular tastes, otherwise the three things I've tried have been really good. I'm not much of a beef or pork eater, so I go either the turkey.

Gave this a try after seeing the menu on line. The food was a 4, the service was a 2-3, it was a guy, somewhat friendly but no helpful. I got a sandwich and asked for pickles and onions with it, he seemed a little annoyed and said that will be extra. OK I guess? I mean it's a sandwich here we do use pickles and onions regularly? But 25 cents is OK I'm thinking. My sandwich came with 2 small garnish pickles sliced in 1/2 (did not cover the bun) and sprinkle of onions. 1.00 each, so add 30% to the sandwich high price for pickles and onions, crazy! You also get a small little sauce cup with a tiny bit of coleslaw, that was very tasty. I asked if they had sides of that (larger) he said yes. I got a small dip size cup not filled to the top, another dollar. So my bill with a small paper drink glass for $2.25 not sure why I did not get a large plastic glass, so I did not have to go back 3 times for enough pop to fill a large glass, but $13.00 for a (small) bratwurst combo with a drink. Ridiculous. No tip was left as that was spent on the pickles and onions. And I am a good tipper and rarely never leave a tip, I just could not justify it. If they can iron out the prices and offer simple condiments like pickles and onions for free, we'd be willing to try again. Otherwise no thanks.

So close, but just need to take it to the next level. This was our first visit to La Calle. Found them on Yelp and decided to try it based on some of the reviews because the food sounds unique and original, and more than one reviewer mentions that they do source local ingredients. I know that means that ingredients are fresh and often organic. We both decided to try the #2 Burger, the Tango, because it sounded like the most flavorful toppings. The ingredients were good, but it could have been a really good burger if served hot and with more generous toppings. The cheese was barely detectable. It was finely shredded and sprinkled on, but should be melted onto the burger. The burger itself was too thin. The bread was good, but they need to grill it and serve it warm. The crunch of the cabbage was very nice, and the sauce was tasty. The only problem is that when you order a burger, you don't expect a cold sandwich. So if the owner is reading this, I hope you'll take it to heart. Your food has what it takes to be awesome, just increase the proportions of meat and toppings and serve it hot.

Great new addition to the hill area. This place specialises in burgers with a Latin American flair. Just had a bison burger and was awesome. They also visit the farmer's market on Thursday's and have a special with what they find for the day.

Great authentic Latin American selections. Also do occasional specials such as corn on the cob charred with a chipotle mayo. They use good buns in addition to quality meats and cheeses. Sweet potato fries are really good. Try the Colombiano hotdog - has pineapple and shoestring potatoes on it. Owner/chef comes around to chat.

Was in town for the night and was told to check this place out. Went for lunch and it wasn't busy, just my girlfriend and I and another family. We ordered the #1 and #2 and they were great! Awesome flavor and the portions were quite large. The owner even gave us some desert on the house which was awesome as well. The food was great but the service is what will keep me coming back. Awesome place!! I will definitely be going back next time I am in CF.

Alright I didn't mean to be a hater or stifle a rising local business, and I truly believe La Calle has potential and is trying very hard to become a Cedar Vally fav of all people, but there are just enough things missing about what I tried. Before I write this review, I actually had to study a little of this Argentina hot dog I ate. So lets talk about what I didn't care for about this dog. I believe this dog was named Choripan. According to Wiki's description (of course everything about Wiki is for real!), La Calle followed pretty closely of how the Choripan was supposed to be made. The sausage and the green sauce mixed pretty well, while the green sauce itself doesn't seem to have any significant flavor. That was all fine. Again not actually knowing Argentine food or went to Argentina myself, the bread and sauce of portion kinda boggled my mind. They used this fancy square bread (I forgot the name) as the bun of the sandwich, UN-toasted. You can purchase this kind of square roll at HyVee french bread section, and they are legit good bread, if lightly toasted/baked in oven. Without the process, the texture tend to be flakey and overly soft, therefore did not go well at all as a bun. Secondly, this wasn't that cheap of a dog, and the portion of the sausage was disastrously small (coming from a person who couldn't finish half of a McD double cheese burger combo). I prefer to have each bite my sandwich with everything perfectly proportioned in my mouth, and this poor sandwich ended up with 1/5 bun left since it's companion, the sausage, was long gone. This place is not a street venue like it would be in Argentine, and I wasn't expecting to eat it as an appetizer at this price. The staff was pretty polite. I have not yet tried other food items but heard a lot of praise about the burger. But the bun was so unacceptable I am not sure if I would give it another try...

My first visit there was amazing. I was greeted by a very friendly waitress who made me feel welcome and she treated me as if we've known each other for a long time! The owner is often seen here, in back, cooking alongside his crew. Something you rarely see anymore. The burgers, hotdogs, and sausages are amazing. I appreciate the fact that he also buys from the local farmers market too. My favorite is the black bean burger but I haven't had all of the options just yet. I go back regularly and I also highly recommend this place to anyone who hasn't tried it yet.

This is definitely a diamond in the rough! Diverse menu that offers something that the cedar valley has never seen before. The food was delicious. Great atmosphere. I'll definitely be going back to this place next time I'm craving a burger.
